Mike Smith, a dynamic and passionate radio personality, has been the heart and soul of Trail 1033 for over a decade. Known for his rich, engaging voice and eclectic music taste, Mike has curated a unique listening experience that has garnered a loyal fan base. His journey into radio began at KGLT, where his love for music and storytelling quickly evolved into a career.

 

In 2025, Mike took the reins as Program Director from 47 year radio veteran Robert Chase, hosting the Morning Show 6a-12p M-F.  He is also the  host of Acoustic Brunch 10am-12pm every Sunday.

Beyond the microphone, Mike is an avid supporter of the bluegrass community and a passionate advocate for live music. You can often find him at local bluegrass events, either as a participant or a devoted fan. His deep appreciation for live performances and local culture is reflected in his shows, where he frequently highlights local artists, environmental issues, and community events.
