The Trail, in partnership with the Book Exchange, is excited to unveil the next installment of our Book Club series!
This month we share the story of a Montana man’s work providing sanctuary to grizzly bears facing an uncertain future.
Casey Anderson’s “The Story of Brutus: My Life with Brutus the Bear and the Grizzlies of North America” tells the story of a bear cub’s rescue from uncertain future by Anderson, an expert in animal rescue and rehabilitation, and the subsequent opening of the Montana Grizzly Encounter in Bozeman.
Anderson, host of National Geographic’s Expedition Grizzly, met Brutus in an overcrowded preserve in 2002 and, devastated by the thought of potential euthanization, developed a special relationship with the cub – one based on friendship and love.
Learn about Anderson, Brutus and the bear sanctuary in Bozeman in this heart-warming true story, and then pick up your copy for just five dollars all this month at the Book Exchange.
