Paul Simon parking/shuttle details

It not only promises to be the biggest event of the summer – it’s also going to be the most packed.

If you’re headed down to Ogren Park Allegiance Field for Wednesday’s Paul Simon concert, we suggest you plan ahead and leave a little early.

And for those who can, it would be wise – and considerate – to walk or ride your bike.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the show scheduled to start at 8.

There is a parking lot at the stadium that will open at 3:30, but it will cost you $10 to park there.

Free parking is available at several locations nearby – including at Caras Park by the Higgins Street Bridge and the many different parking garages interspersed throughout downtown.

Concert organizers have set up a free shuttle service from downtown from 4-7:30 pm and again for the hour immediately following the show. Pick-up and drop-off locations will be at the Park Place parking garage just beyond Caras Park on Front Street, the Central Park parking garage at 128 W. Main, and at the West Front Lot, just off Front Street west of Orange.

The shuttle will also stop at a make-shift “Alternative Transportation Hub” at McCormick Park, where there will be lots of bike parking available.

And don’t forget: No outside food or drink, chairs, cameras or recording devices will be allowed into the stadium.

We’re super excited to see the show – so big thanks to those working to make this a fluid and fun experience for all!
