Trail Less Traveled – 5/6

operations866

When it comes to the planet’s natural wonders, do you know the difference between looking and seeing?

Christian Wright does, and on this week’s episode of The Trail Less Traveled he’ll help us learn how to better navigate that dynamic.

Wright is a park ranger at

Arches National Park in Utah but he’s a historian and author by trade. His most celebrated contribution in that realm concerns mining in Utah – particularly the background of the United Mine Workers of America, its struggle for power and the transformation of his home state’s coal industry from 1966-1985.

Recorded while floating down the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park last summer, Wright also shares with Mandela the story of the time he took this very same journey solo in an inflatable kayak.

Tune in for all that and more on this week’s edition of The Trail Less Traveled – 6 pm on the Trail 103.3 and at traillesstraveled.net.
