The countdown is on to our favorite weekend of the summer – River City Roots Festival!
Now in it’s 13th year, Roots Fest is the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer vacation and kick off the fall season ahead with great music, beer and fun in the streets. And the best part is that with the exception of food, drink and some other miscellaneous charges you can enjoy the best of the festival
events for free!
This year’s two-day smash kicks off at 11 am Friday with the official opening of the juried art show on Main Street and runs through Saturday night’s closing performance by the Grammy Award-winning Infamous Stringdusters. In between is lots of other great acts, food vendors and even a family-friendly foot race! And if you want to extend the weekend, be sure to check out the downtown-wide “Hangover” sidewalk sale all afternoon through 3 pm Sunday!
