Congrats to MDA Awards Recipients!

Last night, the Holiday Inn Downtown was the place to be! Hundreds of Missoulians- business owners, employees, and friends alike gathered to honor those who have made 2016 an exceptional year in Downtown Missoula. 

Outgoing MDA President, Aimee McQuilkin of Betty’s Divine, recapped a year full of exponential growth, including 17 new businesses downtown, and reminded us all of the extraordinary changes to be made in 2017. She passed the gavel to Anders Booker of Runner’s Edge who unfortunately wasn’t able to make the event as he was sipping pina coladas in Mexico. Ay yi yi!

As a locally owned and operated radio group, we are proud of our thriving downtown and are thrilled to be part of a community full of hard working creative thinkers dedicated to making Missoula so wonderful. From all of us at the Trail 1033- cheers to you.

Downtown Volunteer of the Year: Joe Beatty, Montana Massage Clinic

Committee Member of the Year: Mellissa Wagner, River City Roots Festival

Downtown Employee of the Year: Jeff Vanderstouvw, Missoula Parking Comission

Downtown Business of the Year: The Wilma Theatre

MDA Board Member of the Year: Lynda Brown, Human Resource Management Consulting

Downtowner of the Year: Tom Benson, Arts Missoula 

Honorable Mention: Mike Smith & Alanya from the Trail 103.3 won “World’s Best Last Minute EMCee” for filling in for Mark Heyka last year. They won Trail 1033 growlers and couldn’t be more excited.
