Roots Fest Release Party!

TOP HAT LOUNGE TO HOST ROOTS FEST RELEASE PARTY THURSDAY, APRIL 21

The Missoula Downtown Association, The Trail 103.3 and the Top Hat Lounge will host the second annual River City Roots Festival Release Party on Thursday, April 21 from 4-7 pm at the Top Hat Lounge (134 West Front St.) in Downtown Missoula.

All Missoulians are invited to enjoy a special happy hour from 4-6 pm with the Roots Fest Entertainment Announcement scheduled for 6 pm.  Pete Barrett, Ellie Nuno, and friends from Beargrass will play following the announcement until 7pm.

The 11th Anniversary of Roots Fest will feature nine bands who will bring the streets of Missoula to life on Friday and Saturday, August 26-27. As the Signature Celebration of Missoula, its features include Music on Main, Fine Art Show, Family Fun Fest in Caras Park, a four-mile run, and local food and beverage.

Close to 40 Missoula-area businesses will sponsor the admission-free festival. Major sponsors include the Missoulian, Missoula Broadcasting Co. (Trail 103.3), Big Sky Brewing Company, First Interstate Bank, Bob Ward & Sons, First Security Bank, the Missoula Parking Commission, Children’s Dentistry of the Rockies, Badlander, Montana Distillery, DJ & A, P.C., Mountain Line, Territorial Landworks, Stockman Bank, and many others.

“This festival doesn’t happen without the tremendous support we receive from our sponsors and the community,” said Ellen Buchanan, 11-year Chairman of the Roots Fest Committee. “We’re excited to showcase our sponsors and Roots at this release party on Thursday. It will be fun for all, and we’re thankful to Nick Checota and his staff for hosting us at the Top Hat.”
